Nanobionics research group is focused on advance theoretical fundamentals and technological applications of electrons transfer, transport and charge storage in molecular and supramolecular structures. Specifically in terms of technological applications the acquired basic knowledge is used to progress mimetic-based technologies for medical diagnostic assays supported on highly sensitive and specific electroanalytic approaches. The disease analytical devices of interest are those based on earlier (cancer and degenerative diseases) and emergency (cardiopulmonary and infectious disease such as dengue, Zika, Malaria, etc.) diagnostics.
